I realised that administering medicine was not nearly enough to solve the major problems surrounding me in the community. I needed to address wider contextual factors. Truthfully, the reason I first enrolled for a Master of Public Health at UQ was because I was looking for a great program of world-class standard. UQ led me to Australia, not the other way around.
UQ runs one of the best Marine Biology programs in the country... Spending a week at Heron Island studying coral reef geology and collecting skin samples from dugongs in Moreton Bay are just two of the many highlights from studying at UQ
While studying at UQ I've been able to make good friends all over the world. Studying the Master of Advanced Economics has allowed me to learn from some of the smartest people I've ever met.
What really interested me about the Master of Sustainable Energy program is the opportunity to deep dive into the challenges of decarbonisation from a technology, cost and socio-economic perspective and participate in the engaging discourse during the intensive classes.
