There are likely to be around 9,000 job openings in this industry over the next five years with employers looking for qualified candidates who are caring, empathetic, and can communicate clearly. Successful completion of this dual qualification will open up a range of career opportunities in the animal care industry. You will also be equipped with the skills required to seek work as a veterinary nurse.
Gain the skills and knowledge required to work as carpenter in the building and construction industry. According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, carpentry skills are in demand with employers finding it hard to fill vacancies for qualified carpenters and joiners. This is a very large occupation with around 69,000 job openings expected over the next five years. In this course, you'll learn how to construct, install, finish and repair structures and fixtures for residential, commercial and industrial developments. This course, delivered by our highly experienced and passionate teachers, will see you graduate with the skills that will allow you to become a qualified carpenter or joiner.
Complete this course as an apprenticeship so you can work and train at the same time.In this course you will gain skills in making and repairing fine timber products using solid timber, flat-panel or timber-based materials. You will learn processes from design through to production including producing manual and computer-aided drawings, using power tools and wood machines, and undertaking jobs within cost and time constraints. Within this course you may specialise in producing free-standing furniture such as dining and bedroom suites, antiques and office furniture; or you may learn the skills required for the manufacture and installation of kitchen and bathroom fittings.

Job openings are expected to remain steady in the near future with around 23,000 job opening expected over the next five years. Successful completion of this qualification will allow you to apply to become a qualified heavy vehicle tradesperson and continue your career in the industry

The health sector is growing in Australia with the Graduate Outcomes Survey reporting four out of five nursing graduates gain employment within three months of graduation. Successful completion of this course will qualify you to seek registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Upon successful registration you may find work as an Enrolled Nurse within a diverse range of healthcare settings.

Our partnerships with leading universities mean you will be credited for your time with us if you decide to upgrade your qualification too. Successful completion of our Diploma of Visual Arts (CUA51115) means you automatically qualify for a provisional place in the Bachelor of Creative Industries (Visual Arts)(ARB405) offered in partnership with the University of Canberra, and will receive up to one year of credit towards your degree.
Advance your career in the sports and coaching industry with this higher-level qualification. This course will give you the skills to become a qualified sports development manager or coach. According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook Service, there is very strong future growth predicted for people working as sports coaches, instructors and officials. They predict there will be around 28,000 job openings in this large occupation over the next five years. In this course you'll cover coaching fundamentals including how to plan and deliver coaching programs for high-performing athletes. You'll also be introduced to the area of sports development and discover how to design, deliver and manage a range of community sport and recreation activities for the general public.
According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, civil engineering professionals are a skill in high demand with employers finding it hard to fill vacancies. This very large occupation is predicted to grow strongly in the future with around 28,000 job openings expected over the next five years. Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work on infrastructure projects as a civil or structural engineering associate or technical consultant in a variety of industries including engineering, construction, mining and transportation companies, or local and state government agencies. You will also be on the path to further advanced studies.
Limited scholarships under the Destination Australia Program are available for international students to undertake the HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing 109308H or the SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management 109683G at TAFE Queensland in July 2024. These scholarships are open for students planning to commence their studies in July 2024 at TAFE Queensland regional campuses in Bundaberg, Cairns, Toowoomba, Townsville, or the Whitsundays.
