It was really beneficial to create a product from start to finish to learn about the entire process from concept design and creating timelines to food safety requirements and labelling laws... Learning from teachers with industry experience was incredibly valuable as they shared useful tools (many of which I have used in my role) as well as relatable real life scenarios and stories.
Angliss gave me the foundations to be able to perform at a high level. I keep in touch with many teachers and enjoy coming back and sharing my journey and giving those up-and-coming students a little insight and advice to help them along their journey.
I like the balance between theoretical classroom-based subjects and practical subjects. I really love the opportunities available to extend learning off-campus on excursions to various interesting places.
The social and career networking events at Angliss are enormously helpful in introducing students to professionals; they offer advice on job interview techniques, recruitment processes, and the day-to-day tasks they manage.
Stuyding bakery at Angliss meant I could then start ‘Cakes by Courtney’ and live out my dream of doing what I love.
