Eligibility
You’re eligible if you:
- need to improve your language skills and you don’t have an IELTS below 5.0 in any of your bands;
- at the time of application for the Scholarship, have applied for a Program with the University;
- are an international student in accordance with the University’s Fee Policy; and
- are a student from the following cohort, to align with the purpose of the scholarship –
- (a) UQ Refugee and Humanitarian Scholarship
- (b) UQ Asha Scholarship recipient (India equity)
- (c) Latin American sponsorship bodies with a UQ agreement
(1) The Award covers
- (a) full tuition fee for the duration of the Bridging English Program (BEP) for maximum 15 weeks. The balance of tuition fees for BEP programs beyond 15 weeks will not be covered by the University.
- (b) UQ College Enrolment Fee.
- (c) UQ College Student Services and Materials Fee.
(2) The Award will be offered based on meeting the eligibility criteria of the degree in section 4.
(3) A student is able to hold other scholarships, such as from a Latin American sponsorship body, while being a recipient of ELS.
